A delightful DVD depicting a typical day flying in a Pacific Coastal Airlines Grumman Goose in the remote coastal region of British Columbia, Canada.
The standard of photography, sound track and editing is very good. Pilot Tom Mackeson gives an informative commentary on the techniques of flying operations off the water, including docking, and the handling qualities of the Grumman Goose.
Much of the content is filmed from the right-hand seat and this is an opportunity to experience flying in this scenic part of British Columbia.
My only disappointment was the lack of external footage of the Goose alighting on and taking off from the water but given the remote location of the operation that is understandable. At Port Hardy some extra footage of the other Goose amphibians in the Pacific Coastal fleet would have completed the full experience.
This is a 'must buy' DVD for amphibious flying enthusiasts.
